Reservation Policy

Taxes and Government Charges: Daily rates for rooms are subject to the following taxes: 12% VAT and 10% city tax. Government taxes will also be added to all food and beverage charges. 

Restaurant Reservations and Recreation:  Reservations are required to ensure preferred times. 

Individual Reservations: Your credit card information is required as guarantee for your reservation during both regular and low season. 

Cancellation Policy:  Cancellations or changes are accepted up to 96 hours in advance to avoid charges. 

High Season (Holy Week and New Year): This season requires a minimum number of nights’ stay and special rates apply. Please contact our reservations department for further information. Full payment by bank deposit or credit card is required for the stay when confirming your reservation, and charges are made immediately. Cancellations or changes during this time are only accepted up to 30 days in advance.  

Group Reservations:  Additional policies apply. Please contact our reservations department for more  
information. 

Group Policies:  For three or more rooms, your reservation will be considered as a group and is subject to different cancellation conditions. It may be cancelled or modified up to 30 days in advance to avoid charges. For more information, contact our reservations department. 

Early check- in Policies: Our check in starts at 3:00 p.m. If you arrive earlier, we will gladly keep your  
luggage at reception while you are waiting, so you can enjoy the botanical gardens and the hotel facilities until your room is available. If the room is available and you wish to register and occupy the room before the scheduled time, there is a surcharge of 25% of the room rate with taxes included. 

Conservation Fee: All reservations will be charged US$ 10 per room, per lodging night with the aim of supporting and maintaining the conservation of the natural environment, it will be allocated to the lack of biodiversity, maintenance of the surroundings and coffee farm , cleaning of Lake Atitlán as well as the maintenance of the entrance of the Finca San Buenaventura.

Policy for Early Departures: Your deposit will be forfeited if you leave the hotel before the scheduled date. If you have booked with a minimum number of required nights or as a package holiday, you will be charged for the full original booking and are required to pay for the total nights reserved. 

Coolers, Portable Refrigerators and Food: These are not allowed to enter any guest rooms, including any items that are treated as such equipment or any type of food. If you have any special requirements, please notify us in advance to make special arrangements. 

Safety Deposit Boxes: All our rooms have safety boxes at no additional charge. 

Private Transportation: It will be a pleasure for Hotel Atitlán to help you in coordinating your ground transportation from La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City to Lake Atitlán Panajachel, and vice versa. Extra charges apply. 

Animals:  The hotel does not allow pets or any other animals. 
  
Additional Beds: The hotel does not have extra beds available in rooms. 
  
Room Service: Available only for suites, from 8:00 a.m. to 08:00 p.m. 
 
Kids & Suites: Hotel Atitlán does not allow children in suites. These rooms have been prepared specifically for couples or honeymooners. 
 
Sound: To maintain harmony among our guests, we ask you to keep your radios or other playback devices at a low sound level. 
  
Parking: The hotel provides free parking for guests within the property. 
 
Laundry Service:  The Hotel Atitlán provides laundry service on request. Extra charges apply.

Lake Atitlán Hotel

We strive to provide our guests with an exceptionally clean, safe, and friendly hotel experience. The following Hotel Policy/House Rules have been established based on industry standards, management and operational procedures by reading and signing our hotel registration you are agreeing to abide by all of our Hotel Policy, terms and conditions, and procedures.

EARLY CHECK-IN/PRE-REGISTRATION: 

Early check-in is offered based on availability. If you require a guaranteed check-in for arrival before 3:00 PM then Pre-Registration and payment are required. Please contact Front Desk staff directly to make reservations and complete a credit card authorization form prior to your arrival 

CHECK IN/ CHECK OUT TIME:

  • The hotel check in time is at 3:00 PM 
  • The hotel check out time is at 11:00 AM 

SMOKING-FREE: 

For safety and to assure that our facility is not exposed to items or actions that create an odor which is unhealthy and objectionable to our guests and staff, and that is difficult to remove from the air, carpet, walls, and furniture we do not permit smoking tobacco, marijuana, illegal drugs, e-cigarettes, vape pens, vaping, cartridges containing the liquid of nicotine, cigars, the use or diffusing of patchouli oil or other strong-smelling plant-based essential oils or synthetic products in our facility.

NO FIREARMS AND WEAPONS: 

The safety and security of our guests and staff is extremely important to us. Our Firearms and Weapons Policy is designed for the protection of our guests, vendors, staff, and owners, and pertains to the presence of firearms and weapons on hotel premises. Hotel Atitlán is private property. Guests, who are lawfully permitted to possess a firearm or weapon, but for safety reasons of our other guests and staff FIREARMS AND WEAPONS ARE NOT ACCEPTED IN THE COMPLEX.

SAFE BOX: 

In your room you will find a safe box in which we suggest leaving your valuables during your stay at Hotel Atitlán. We are not responsible for any losses.

FOOD AND BEVERAGES: 

The entrance of food and beverages outside the Hotel is restricted. The hotel management reserves the right to block the entry of external supplies. Alcohol consumed during special events served by a licensed caterer with permit to serve/sale alcohol is restricted to those 18 years old or older and can only be consumed at that event venue.

We reserve the right of admission.
